Tonight On Forces TV: The Military Tech Show - Episode 1
The Striker II helmet could be about to change how RAF and Royal Navy pilots work in the cockpit.
The headgear combines the wearer's eyesight with what the camera is seeing, creating a hybrid view.
Able to switch from day to night vision, it uses a digital HD system to give the user information right in front of their eyes, with a feature making it possible for a pilot to see through their cockpit.
The Striker II links the pilot with their aircraft weapons system, while they are backed up by target-tracking technology.
The helmet has also been developed with possible ejections in mind - manufacturer BAE Systems say it is one of the strongest in the world, despite being light on a pilot’s head and neck.
