Military Tech Show: New Vehicle For The Special Forces
Designed for military special forces, the Supacat LRV 400 is capable of coping with the harshest of conditions.
Widely regarded as the younger sibling of Supacat’s “Jackal”, the high-performance reconnaissance vehicle is powered by a V6 turbo engine, able to go 0 – 60mph in under 15 seconds.
The LRV 400 has an operational payload of 1.7 tonnes, and a fuel range of up to 800km.
Tested in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, it is equipped with features you would expect of a multi-terrain special operations vehicle.
Sharp metal cutters on the frame protect against any wire traps, while smoke canisters can be deployed, allowing for a quick getaway.
With front and rear double air suspension, it can convert from a 4x4 to a 6x6 – the third axel allowing for extra tonne of payload.
